Thank you very much for sharing your way of life with us ! We really liked to see the Sumedang village and culture. The food was great and we enjoyed the tour of your village this morning. The people are so hospitable and friendly. The cultural performance was really amazing ! It is a very rich culture with singing, dancing and music. To talk with the student was also really nice ! Thank you very much for this experience.

We have many impressions. The people are so very kindly and their hospitality is very special. Sumedang is a nice place, the nature is magnificant. The performance of the traditional music and dance are amazing. The people could be proud of themselves.
The family of Cece and Cece as a person and a guide were very special. Many, many thanks. We never forget our stay at Sumedang. God bless you all .....

traditional foods

The famous local food is Tahu (deep fried tofu) so Sumedang is famous as " Tahu city ".
The other local foods are ;
surabi (made from rice, delicious eat in the morning), fried bananas, fried cassava, goat sate, chicken sate, fried rice, fried fresh water fish, hot tea, black coffee

handicraft

bamboo handicraft
most area in sumedang are rice fields and forests. there are abundant bamboo trees.
people depend their life to the nature, making bamboo handicraft is one of home industry.
bamboo lamp, plate, cup, bag, ashtray, rice steam, tissue, etc.
it's beauty for your souvenir

Mt. Kunci

Mt. kunci is located 200 meter from Sumedang central park.
There is an old cave building was build by colonial Dutch government in 1914 - 1917.
The large of building is about 2600 m2 and divided into 3 floor.
The cave was build as wall defender Dutch government.

museum

Sumedang's museum is located 50 meter from sumedang central park.
The museum houses a collection of traditional Sundanese weaponry, as well as the crown jewels and other finery was collecting since 1955.
Museum Prabu Geusan Ulun was build in 1797 and the name of museum was taken from the last king of Sumedang Larang kingdom, Prabu Geusan Oeloen (1578-1601)

cadaspangeran road

Cadas pangeran road was build by Dutch government in 1812.
its a project governor general Herman Willem Daendels to connected all of the cities in northern coastal zone of java, now known as " jalur pantura ".
Cadas pangeran is connecting between Bandung and Cirebon.

tea plantation

It's located at Citengah, sub district south sumedang. It's about 10 km from central park. Most are is around by mountain, rice fields and tea plantation.
we can feel fresh air and water here

waterfall

Cinulang waterfall is located at cinulang village, sub district of Cimanggung.
it was open in 1974 and still going until present. it's the biggest waterfall in Sumedang.
Cinulang waterfall can reach by car, its about 45 km or 3 hours trip from Sumedang.
Cinulang waterfall is about 50 - 100 meter tall.

Panganginan waterfall is located at panganginan village, sub district wado.
panganginan waterfall have 3 steps and still nature.
the water is use for irrigation rife fields around the waterfall.
Panganginan waterfall is smaller than Cinulang waterfall. it's about 50 meter tall.
Panganginan waterfall can reach by car or motorbike, it's about 7 km or 1 hour trip from wado.

Cialing waterfall is located at pasirpadang village, sub district jatinunggal.
Cialing waterfall is smaller than Cinulang waterfall. it's about 50 meter tall.
Panganginan waterfall can reach by car or motorbike, it's about 7 km or 1,5 hour trip from wado.
